Downloading HomeSec

Stage 1 downloads necessary Microsoft components and installs them. This may take some time, depending on what you already have installed and will only ever be needed once.

When asked if you want to 'run or save' the file, select 'run'. Once downloading has begun, minimise your browser window as sometimes messages like "Do you really want to download this file?" can be hidden by the browser window.

When complete, you will see the 'Buy now' page. When you click the 'Buy now' button you will be taken to the secure PayPal site where you can pay (without a PayPal account) using any major credit card.

After successful payment, the final part of the download will commence. As before, minimise any windows you don't need so that you can see the multitude of questions that Windows/your internet security software will throw at you!

When complete, HomeSec will run and, once you are asked to log on, you may close any other windows you do not require. For your first log on, use 'Temp' as both username and password. You will then be required to change these before you can continue.

NOTE:
We recommend the use Internet Explorer for this download. If you are using Firefox there can very occasionally be a problem. If instead of downloading the files, you are asked where to save them, we suggest switching to IE.
